Welcome to our website!
Our
mission is to keep Carrick On Shannon clean and beautiful. To that end;
we have organised Litter Picks, held fundraisers for hanging baskets,
painted fences, collaborated with residents to help them clean up their
estates, and recently we have been fortunate to have the talented Sandra
Vernon from The Very Small Gallery give up her precious time to paint
charming and fantastic murals around the town. You can see the pictures
on our Photo Diary page and on our Facebook page.
We
have been fortunate in getting great help and support from residents
and volunteers from all walks of life. Thank you to all who have donated
their time or money to assist us. Remember, Carrick On Shannon Tidy
Towns is working for the COMMUNITY, and is completely voluntary. Many
hands make light work, please come and join us at our next litter pick
on Thursday night at 7.00pm and Saturday morning at 8.00am, meeting at
Moonriver and dispersing around town collecting for an hour. It’s in the
fresh air, its fun, and it’s really worthwhile!
